The story is about a young hyur girl in the East with what looks to be spirals of 'flowers' all over her body to represent something 'wrong' with her. The story is in black and white at the beginning with splashes of color on things that are considered "pretty". The story has a sweet ending of the main character accepting who they are as they meet others like them, and as it progresses the story becomes more colorful.✧ The Flowers That Grew From Your Body - A picture book with long paragraphs of text that is targeted to children from the ages 10-13 that explains death and the stages of grief. The story centers around an elezen boy in Coerthas whose friend dies of cancer (known in the story as the "Stomach Curse"). It depicts him going through the motions of grief. It's a rather colorful and metaphoric story, along with the "flowers" that grow from her body. A tad controversial due to the name, the story ends rather bittersweet and hopeful as the main character moves on from his friends death but does not forget.✦

✦ A Thousand Lives At Dawn - A three book series about a samurai man who is cursed with Eastern dragon blood in him, and takes place during the age of blood era in Hingashi. It depicts a man who every time he dies, he's ressurected and someone else dies in his place. Though somewhat accurate to the time, it is clear the story is more on the fiction side of things. It's action packed and crude, not shying away from depression and PTSD and the guilt that comes with it. At the end of the series, the samurai can finally die in peace. The three books are; A Thousand Lives at Dawn, The Sakura Tree That Blooms in Twilight, and A Sword that Cries at Dusk.
